A long, long time ago.....I left a great 9 to 5 job with the CIBC and started to sell houses. $40,000.00 average house prices.... 18% interest rates....typewriters....carbon paper.... pagers and photocopiers. Now 32 years later, my world includes $350,000 average house prices...2-5% interest rates, smart phones, lap tops and iPads. Helping people buy and sell a home is still the same...but the efficiency and speed that I get to do it in is remarkable!
Giving back to my community has always been important to me, and I've been a proud sponsor of many local recreational sports teams, volunteer for the Hamilton Big Brothers and Big Sisters and supporter of the Realtors® Care Foundation- offering sheltered related assistance to communities across the Country. I'm also an active participant in our local Real Estate community, currently serving as 2020 President Elect on the REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington Board of Directors (also 2015 President.) after serving as Director from 2012 to 2017, Over the years I've served on numerous Board committees, serving as Chair of the Associations Government Relations & Finance committees and the Rental Licensing Task Force.
I'm proud to be involved not only in the fight for safe and affordable housing in the City of Hamilton but for overall property rights of property owners.
When it comes to real estate, there are very few things that I haven't seen and that includes a head spinning, rapid moving Sellers Market like we're seeing today. Being represented by a Realtor® who has indepth knowledge of local housing conditions and a high level of experience & competency are important to both Buyers and Sellers in a market like the one we're experiencing.
37 years as an active full time Realtor® does mean that I get to move into every day with new confidence and it remains a great privilege looking after the interests of the Buyers and Sellers who select me to represent them. Commitment, dedication, integrity, flexibility and the aptitude to accept change are the ingredients in my recipe for success in Real Estate....a career which has truly allowed me to sell Hamilton with a smile....for 37 years!
