Some of the best kept secrets are Government Incentive Programs that come out with a bang with loads of publicity and hoopla and then just fade away to a point that we forget about them. The Housing Incentive Programs that the Canadian Government touted in 2009 are no different...but I'm here to remind you of them!

ERP- Emergency Repair Program- assistance for low income rural homeowners for emergency repairs. More information visit ERP

Secondary Suite/Garden Suite Program- assistance to create a secondary suite or garden suite to make it possible for low income seniors to live independently. More Information... Secondary/Garden 

The amount of the Grants depend on what area of Ontario you live and the proposed cut off date is March 31, 2011...even though it may continue on.
