With record rainfall this year, lot's of area homeowners are experiencing basements that are falling victim to moisture issues. It was once explained to me by a reputable contractor that given the right circumstances any basement will leak. Concrete is permeable and if water is left to pool up around your concrete foundation, it's only a matter of time before the outside water comes in. Keeping the water away from your home may take a bit of effort, but when compared to costly waterproofing, it's an excellent option!
