People who really know me would be fast to say that I always tend to look at things from the brightest side possible...some call it optimistic...and others call it pure delusional! The more that this "Law of Attraction" theory surrounds me, the more plausible it seems to be. I hadn't really given it much thought, but when I applied it to my business, and the clients that I have dealt with over the years, it seems to be that the more demanding, unreasonable and sometime dishonest the client...the bigger the truck of Advil I would need. For some reason, the more demanding the Seller, the more issues just automatically arise. Mr. and Mrs. Perfecto always seem to be the ones who's "For Sale" sign is accidentally installed on the neighbors lawn, time sensitive emails get sent to junk mail, Agents don't show up at the confirmed time to show the property, the wrong information gets accidentally loaded on the MLS system and this one is the best....an ad goes in the paper with the wrong house picture...and then the next week with the wrong price. One thing right after another. It is absolutely amazing...and there never seems to be anything that can stop it.

The end result is usually always the same. 200 phone calls a day from a very irritated, cranky Seller...requesting your immediate execution on the basis of shear incompetence! After experiencing this type of Seller, I have been fortunate enough to develop some form of internal avoidance system. I have come to realize that I have to earn a living, and even though I stand a reasonable chance of earning some commission income selling Mr. & Mrs. Perfecto's house, chances are that I will be afraid of answering my Blackberry, opening my email, ultimately resorting to hiding under a rock with barely enough energy to get the mega batch of headache pills at Costco! I will also loose 2 months income because I'll be in therapy trying to regain my self confidence. So, I can't help but think that perhaps these people are in fact attracting the horrible string of events...because they expect it...so perhaps that's what they're getting? mmmmmm

For many years now, my clients always seem to be fantastic! Cheery, optimistic and loyal! So, I guess it shouldn't surprise me that my deals go together smoothly without issues. Everyone always seems to be happy, I earn a paycheck and I don't have to worry about burning my kidneys out with Advil!

Does the Law of Attraction apply to Real Estate??? From my experience, it sure does! Happy in...happy out...miserable in...nothing but misery out!!!!
